A new chapter — and a thank you
I have some news I've been waiting a long time to share, and some people I want to thank properly before I do anything else.
A quick note: this is a temporary page while the full RiverNLP website is being built. Everything you need in order to book is right here — the finished site will have the rest.
I've finished my training
In July 2023 I completed Richard Bandler's nine-day training with The Society of NLP, earning the credential Licensed Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming™ — a licence from the Society, not from the State of California. Since then, I've finished the coursework for the hypnotherapy programme at The International College of Clinical Hypnotherapy (ICCH) in London, with my practitioner diploma examination scheduled for February 2027.
It's the culmination of years of study alongside a full practice, and it has changed how I want to work — more structure behind each session, a clearer path from where you are to where you'd like to be, and a practice built to support people properly rather than one appointment at a time.
Thank you
I want to be direct about this, because it matters more to me than the certificate does.
Studying while running a practice is only possible if people keep showing up. You did. You kept booking, you were patient when my availability moved around, and you trusted me with real things in your life while I was still deep in coursework. Some of you have been with me for years. Some of you found me in the middle of all this and stayed anyway.
None of what comes next would exist without that. Thank you.
What's changing
Everything below is about making this easier for you. Nothing about how I work with you in session has changed.
Booking is now done online, start to finish
No more texting me and waiting for a reply. You can see my actual calendar at rivernlp.as.me and book the time that works for you — including a whole run of weekly sessions in one go, if that suits you better. Bookmark it; it's the only link you'll need.
You'll need a card on file to book. You're not paying for the session when you reserve it — the card is simply how the booking system holds your time.
If anything about that is a barrier for you, please tell me. I'd far rather hear it than lose you over it — and the new payment options below exist for exactly that reason. Send me a text at (415) 633-6926 or email RiverNLP@gmail.com.
New ways to pay
This is the change I'm most pleased about. For returning clients there are now packages and payment plans, at a lower rate per session, so a longer piece of work can be paid for month by month instead of all at once. They aren't on the booking page: ask me about them at your session. If cost has been the thing standing between you and doing this properly, this is for you.
Updated pricing and booking terms
Prices have been updated. Everything is listed plainly on the booking page — the price you see is the price you pay, with nothing added at checkout. When you book a session, a $50 deposit holds your place and the rest is due at the end of the session. The cancellation terms are there too: 24 hours' notice to change or cancel a session.
Thank you for being here for this part. — River
